HULFT

What is HULFT?

HULFT is middleware that performs various functions based on the TCP/IP protocol, including file transfer, between platforms connected to each other via a network. It can be used for platforms connected via a LAN. The introduction of HULFT allows companies to exchange data securely and easily between machines using different code systems and file systems.

It also offers a smooth shift from centralized processing based on mainframe computers to decentralized processing based on open systems and allows smooth data exchanges between networks. In addition, it reduces the man-hours required for construction of systems for data delivery verification and code conversion at the time of file transfers.

Having been incorporated by more than 6,900* companies in Japan as de facto standard file transfer software, HULFT offers strong support for information system construction in the high-speed, large-capacity network era.

There are many function that HULFT can support your file transfering to be more smooth and security.

1. Sending and Recieving Functions:

If an error occurs during data transfer, the data is recovered.

Resend from Checkpoint

If an error occurs during data transfer, it is possible to resend from the point where the error occurred by issuing the Resend File.

Resend File / Resend Request

Only if a problem occurs with the transfer, HULFT can automatically execute the resending process after the network is restored. Also, in cases where the receiving host could not receive a file due to a trouble, the Resend Request can be issued to re-activate the sending process of the remote host.

Reduce loads on your network

Intermittent Transfer

You can use the Send Management Information to specify a transfer interval for each block of transfer data. This allows you to transfer files without occupying the network and use the Send Management Information to specify a transfer interval for each block of transfer data.

Data Compression Transfer

You can use a unique compression method offered by HULFT to compress data for efficient file transfers. You can use the Send Management Information to specify whether or not to compress data on a file-by-file basis.

Enabling smooth interfacing with business process

Message Transmission

When transferring a file, you can attach a message separately from the file details. The message can be used as the file name of the Receive file or the value for the subsequent jobs.

Remote Job Execution

You can remotely execute jobs of other hosts. This enables centralized control of the routine jobs in a distributed environment.

HULFT7e can convert EBCDIC, ASCII, UTF-8 and other code schemes to different ones.

3. Security Functions:

Detecting interception, leakage, missing and alterations of transfer data

Proprietary Secret Key Encryption Employed

Transfer data can be encrypted with 160-bit level secret keys on a file ID basis. In addition, our proprietary protocol is used to transfer data over networks.

Improve data verification Accuracy

HULFT7e verifies the consistency between the data received and data sent by verifying the data using hash values created from the transfer data. This allows you to detect missing or altered data.

Identifying and preventing unauthorized accesses and operational errors

Automatic Management of Detail Operation Log

In response to the J-SOX (Japanese version of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act), HULFT7e automatically manages the detailed File Access Log and Command Execution Log. This allows you to keep the detailed Operation Log to identify Who, What and When.
